February is the month of love and it would be remiss of us not to feature a project or two involving hearts. Naomi Clarke has designed a clever lap quilt creating hearts from hexagons in her project, Zen Chic with Grunge Hearts while Michelle Roberts has created a delightful mini quilt, Love & Hugs. Through my Window requires accurate piecing to create its effect, while my Bloom Lattice quilt is a great project for using florals. Chris Hammacott tells us about Dallying with Tweed and encourages us to make her Tweed Cushion as a result. We make our first curved EPP block in our block of the month quilt, Stars and Flowers and Stuart Hillard has designed a wonderful scrappy heart block in Stashbusting. Helen was lucky enough to get a ticket for Quilty Pleasures, an occasional open day held at the Wilson Museum in Cheltenham and tells us about the antique quilts on display that day. We take a look at the latest exhibition by Zero 3, ‘Signature X’ and Elisabeth Fuchs gives us a tour around the European Patchwork Meeting in St Marie aux Mines in France. Michelle Roberts tells us about her First and Last quilts and we meet Round the Corner Quilters in Introducing.
