Magazine Description

In this issue

First North East India Educational Magazine "neScholar". It tries to give more information on North East India in the field of History, Culture, Sports, Heritage,Nature etc. This second issue (Jan 2015-Mar 2015) has articles related to engineering approach to the present water crises, Ebola virus, Ground penetrating radar, and others, which we hope will provide better understanding of the issues presented. Besides, an article on the traditional knowledge of the morphology of paddy has been included for better appreciation of the traditional knowledge as well as the adaptation of living beings to environment. There is one article which will provide a peep into the ecosystem services, which is rather brushed aside when we talk about environment and ecology. With exams near the corner, there is an article on how to beat the exam blues which will be helpful to the students. As usual there is an article on mathematics besides orchids of Phawngpui in Mizoram, on android apps for students, science update. One article which we feel important, especially readers from outside North East India is an article on Manipur theatre of WWII. The article gives in brief the major battles fought between the Japanese and the Allied forces in Manipur. This issue is slightly biased towards science and technology, but we have tried to include articles on various topics to tickle the taste buds of all the readers.
