Using the Grand Feu enamelling technique, Chopard has created the portrait of Lord Ganesh intricately on the dial of the brand’s third jumping hour watch.  The issue also features interviews with founders of roaring microbrands like Sarpaneva, where we speak to Stepan Sarpaneva to understand what encourages him to design out-of-the-box watches, and NORQAIN, where Ben Kuffer tells us how independence has become the cornerstone of the young, five-year-old company. In another story, we take a walk through the latest watch boutiques that have opened in the newly inaugurated Jio World Plaza in Mumbai to understand how these luxury stores in the country are upping the watch-buying experience. Conversations with next-gen kids of the watch world who are taking their legacies to new frontiers; an interview with alpinist and explorer Simon Messner who recently participated in the 42km long Antarctic Ice Marathon wearing the Montblanc 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen South Pole Exploration Limited Edition, a watch inspired by his father, on his wrist; and an interview with master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen make up some of the most exciting stories of the issue.
