With this Issue we will be delving into the main goal of our Magazine : simulating real world hacking scenarios.This has always been our goal and we have not lost sight of it all. Since we have completed all our pending Issues we are right back on our target, This scenarios will help our readers understand how ethical hacking takes place in real world. For starting, we will deal with a scenario where a web server is behind the router but on another network. We will be creating this lab in Vmware and Virtualbox which means our readers can easily simulate it on their software. The target is a simple one this time. But we want our readers to learn some important things here like port forwarding, SNAT and DNAT etc. These are some of the networking topics that you will see in real world and knowledge of them is very important. Once you are through it, we can move to simulating complex networks.
        In part 2 of our Buffer Overflow tutorial, our readers will learn how to write a simple buffer overflow exploit to the vulnerability we saw in our previous Issue. You will be doing this in python.

Wordpress is one of the most popular CMS which covers around 35% of internet in 2020. So it’s high time we bring the tutorial on wordpress penetration testing  to our readers. Whenever the topic of Wordpress pentesting comes, the topic of Wpscan tool also comes. No doubt,  Wpscan plays a major role in penetration testing of wordpress.
     However, we will be showing our readers how to pentest wordpress without using this tool in this Issue. Yeah, it’s the black hat way. Our readers will really find it informative and learn a trick or two in this tutorial. Also as part of this article, our readers will also learn how to find and manually detect LFI and RFI vulnerabilities in wordpress plugins . 
In Metasploit This Month, we have two Windows POST exploits which our readers may find very interesting, especially the exploit that gathers the credentials of  Team Viewer installed on the target system. This exploit works on the latest release of the Team Viewer on Windows. 
In Not Just Another Tool, we will learn about a tool name GNU Debugger that allows us to debug programs. In the next Issue, we will use this tool in our Buffer Overflow Tutorial. So we request our readers to pay attention to usage of this tool.

This includes installation, configuration and the exact scenario of how the system is getting hacked.

Not just this, we have also started a software repository of all the vulnerable software we use in the Magazine. In Future, we will be upgrading it to make it more usable. The December 2019 Issue of our Hackercool Magazine is LIVE. It starts with a CTF challenge that includes Local file inclusion and SQL injection and ends with a story of how Lazarus hacking group hacked into Indian Nuclear Reactor.

This Issue begins with CTF challenge paradoxically named Sunset : Sunrise. Compared to our recent challenges this is short and easy but we have included this because we wanted to give a break to our readers who have been continually reading harder challenges. We would also remind our readers that this challenge is unique even though its easy.  Please don't forget to check the pink boxes dotted in between the articles. These provide additional information to our readers.  
       In Metasploit This Month feature, this month we have included two more privilege escalation modules of Windows 10. At least one of these may be still functioning in real world.
