Pushing its plans to make the internet more accessible, inclusive and empowering for everyone in India, Google recently held the fifth edition of its annual ‘Google for India’ event. At the event, Google announced its partnership with BSNL to bring fast, reliable and secure public Wi-Fi to villages in Gujarat, Bihar and Maharashtra. Google also announced the launch of Google Research India — an AI research lab in Bengaluru, a brand new ‘Google Pay for Business’ app for merchants, and a ‘Jobs Spot’ on Google Pay app. This is designed to help job seekers find and prepare for entry-level positions that fit their needs.
