NICOLA Sturgeon's dad has been hailed a hero after he rushed to save a young relative who collapsed on a beach.
The family drama happened on Saturday just two days after the former first minister's husband Peter Murrell was charged with embezzling money from the SNP.
Her dad Robin, a former SNP candidate who is in his 70s, helped the relative on the dunes at Irvine beach.
His other daughter Gillian told her online followers: "She took unwell at the beach and lost consciousness."
She and her dad then waited for an ambulance to take the teenager to hospital.
