The bride reveals how Bec's bullying almost made her walk out on her marriage
Married At First Sight Australia bride Alissa Fay reveals she was ready to quit after a “toxic and traumatising” feud with the show's “mean girls” left her feeling “completely broken”.
Speaking exclusively to Woman's Day, the Adelaide nurse, 33, confesses, “The morning after the second dinner party, I was ready to walk. I wasn’t even going to show up to that commitment ceremony. I was at my wits’ end.
“David [Momoh, her groom] and I were like, ‘We didn’t sign up for this.' I’ve been bullied in the past, but I’ve never been bullied to that extent. That dinner party was just the most traumatic day in my life!”
When asked where she thinks the animosity stemmed from, Alissa insists it was mostly from one bride - Bec Zacharia. She tells, “It came from Bec, but they all were just trying to sabotage anything that was positive.
“David and I were doing really well in our relationship and it just came from insecurities. I've always been me and not everybody's going to like you, but more so, I feel like it’s a jealousy thing.”
The feud is set to boil over this week after Alissa finds out through a friend that account manager Bec, 35, who also lives in Adelaide, has been sniffing around town for dirt.
“She tried to dig up anything she could to sabotage my character,” tells Alissa. “You just can’t do that. But you'll notice that Gia [Fleur] and Bec, they're always throwing each other under the bus.“They'll use a pawn in the middle to get at each other - and it sucks being caught up in it all, especially when you're doing nothing wrong. I’m just there to build a relationship.”
