Welsh pride on the line in final World Cup clash

HEAD coach Sean Lynn expects his Wales side and Fiji to 'throw the kitchen sink at each other' in today's final World Cup Pool match (2.45pm).

Both nations have already been eliminated from the competition after defeats against Canada and Scotland.

Those top two clash earlier in the day in the doubleheader at Exeter's Sandy Park to determine the pool honours.

But far from being a case of 'after the Lord Mayor's Show, when Wales and Fiji take the field there will be considerable pride at stake.

For Wales it has been a disappointing campaign but Lynn is determined to finish on a high and start the building process towards the next Six Nations Championship.

And for Fiji, coached by former Wales chief Ioan Cunningham, it will be another opportunity to develop their game and try to take the scalp of one of the traditional rugby powers.

"It looks like both teams are going to throw the kitchen sink at each other," said Lynn (pictured).

"It's going to be a brilliant battle and I'm hoping we come out on top, but I've asked the girls to come off [the pitch] crawling.

"Fiji put in a real strong performance against Scotland.
