A 16TH-CENTURY manor is opening its doors for Christmas this weekend, marking a festive return nearly two years after being forced to shut due to severe flooding.

- LEWIS CLARKE

Avebury Manor, a grade I-listed property in Wiltshire cared for by the National Trust, will welcome visitors once again from today following major restoration work prompted by flood damage in January 2024.

The special Christmas opening will feature handmade decorations by volunteers, trees, lights and music throughout the house, offering a seasonal experience for returning guests.
