West Briton Labour must come clean on what we will (or won't) get

HERE are many different channels through which money is funnelled from central government in the capital to outlying areas of the country Town Deals, Good Growth, Town Vitality Funding, Community Levelling Up and a plethora of others but, amid the confusion, one fact has always been clear; Cornwall doesn't get its fair share of it.

The Conservatives' promise that in the wake of Brexit the county - a major recipient of European funding which nonetheless enthusiastically supported severing ties with Brussels - would get new money equalling what it had lost in EU grants proved false, as many had predicted, and in the subsequent years hopes that having a Conservative council and six Conservative MPs would deliver fair funding for Cornwall from a Conservative government likewise proved groundless.
