Council promises new signage on lane that's too narrow for lorries

A MAN sick and tired of lorries getting stuck in the narrow road where he lives has claimed a significant victory.

Cornwall Council says it will install new warning signs on the tiny lane in Truro, which has trapped numerous lorries in recent years.

HGVs and large vehicles continuously get wedged in Coosebean Lane, damaging stone walls and pulling down trees as drivers misled by their sat-navs desperately try to extricate themselves.

Mark Nicholls lives in the lane and has had to rebuild his boundary wall several times after it was damaged by trapped vehicles.
