ECI Holding All-Party Meetings Across The Country

A total of 4,123 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) across the country are holding all-party meetings to resolve any pending polling booth-level issues in their respective Assembly Constituencies (ACs), the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday.

The poll panel said all 788 District Election Officers (DEOs) and 36 Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) of all 28 States and eight Union Territories (UTs) have been directed to hold such meetings to resolve any pending issues at the district and State/UT levels respectively, within the legal framework of the Representation of People Act 1950 and 1951, Registration of Elector Rules 1960, Conduct of Election Rules 1961 and the manuals, guidelines and instructions issued by it from t
