Major fire at a firecracker market in Fatehpur: 70 shops razed to ashes

A massive fire broke out on Sunday afternoon at a temporary firecracker market set up on the MG College grounds in Fatehpur, reducing more than 70 shops to ashes and destroying over 50 two-wheelers parked nearby.
The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. and caused widespread panic in the area.
Eyewitnesses reported that the blaze began due to a suspected short circuit in one of the shops, which quickly spread to other nearby stalls, many of which were stocked with firecrackers. The intense heat and frequent explosions made it difficult to control the fire initially.
