Odisha: Gadkari Unveiled Highway Projects Worth ₹4,000 Crore

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, on Thursday emphasized that with strong political will, a positive outlook, and prompt decision-making, funds are never a constraint.
Highlighting the government's progressive approach, he revealed plans to introduce drone taxis and water taxis, and noted that pilot projects involving multi-layer transport systems—combining roads, flyovers, and metro networks—are currently underway.
The Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 19 road projects spanning 154 km, with a combined investment exceeding Rs 4,000 crore. Speaking at the event, Gadkari said that water, power, transport, and communication are the pillars of development as they attract industries and generate employment. "World-class infrastructure is the need of the hour," he asserted.
Reflecting on the progress made under his ministry, Gadkari remarked, "In the past 11 years, we have achieved more than what was done in the previous 60 years."
