Medical colleges in all mining dists will have advanced trauma care facilities: CM Majhi

Says Odisha will also be a leading state in reducing deaths due to accidents

WHILE inaugurating today the In-Patient Service and Trauma Care system at the Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital here, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said within a few days of forming the government, a decision was taken to set up trauma care in medical colleges of all mining districts.

These will enable better treatment for accident victims, he pointed out.

The Chief Minister said that accidents and accident-related deaths are very high in our country. In districts like Keonjhar, there is more vehicle traffic due to mining. Along with this, more industries will be established and infrastructure will be developed in the coming days. Therefore, vehicle traffic will increase further, he said, pointing out that a good trauma care system will play an important role in saving people from unnecessary deaths.
