Pandit staff to join work on March 8

THE PM Package Pandit employees have suspended their 310-day-long strike demanding relocation to Jammu and they will join duties en masse at Divisional Commissioner’s office in Srinagar on Wednesday.

Rubon Saproo, president of All Migrant Displaced Employees Association Kashmir, told this newspaper that after consultation with the striking employees and their families, it was decided to suspend the strike in Jammu on Saturday.

“We decided to suspend the strike as there was no response from government to our main demand – relocation to Jammu. We have now surrendered before the government after continuing our stir for 310 days,” Saproo said.
