AIMING to increase the participation of women in Tamil Nadu's economic development, Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu announced an upskilling and guidance programme to elevate one lakh women as entrepreneurs in the next five years.
The minister also announced a 1% reduction in registration fees, for immovable assets valued up to ₹10 lakh, for women.
"Women will receive skill development training and entrepreneurial guidance to establish various enterprises, with access to bank loans of up to ₹10 lakh, along with a 20% subsidy. An allocation of ₹225 crore has been made in the financial year 2025-26," he said.
