BFI officials publicly hit out at president Singh

The off-the-ring tussle in Indian boxing is here to stay.

Some of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) state units publicly criticised its president, Ajay Singh, in a press conference in New Delhi on Tuesday while the Interim Committee, which was formed by World Boxing (WB) to run the affairs of boxing in the country, conducted their first meeting (virtual) on Monday to make some key decisions.

These developments come after the WB's—the world governing body—decision (made on April 7) to form an interim committee to manage the day-to-day affairs of boxing in the country. The WB had made this call because of the ongoing tussle between office-bearers in the BFI.
