Rajnath, Oz counterpart take stock of bilateral ties between two countries

DEFENCE Minister Rajnath Singh held a bilateral meeting with Australian Deputy Prime Minister Defence Minister Richard Marles in Delhi on Wednesday, strongly condemning the Pahalgam terror attack and expressing their condolences to the families of the victims.
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) said, "The Defence Minister highlighted India's right to respond in self-defence against cross-border terrorism and described New Delhi's actions against Pakistan as measured, non-escalatory, proportionate and responsible." The two sides agreed to work "together to combat terrorism in all its forms", the MoD added.
Singh and Marles, who arrived in India on Tuesday, welcomed the signing of the Australia-India Joint Research Project and agreed to intensify and diversify defence industry collaboration.
