Yet Come From Away is neither. It's a beautifully-written and elegantly performed celebration of the power of community which you want to watch again and again.
There's no big hero, no celebrity lead performer and no familiar songs. And it's a story based around a terrorist atrocity that some feel is still too recent to be the subject of drama.
Yet this touring production of the work of Irene Sankoff and David Hein thrills audiences with the powerful poignancy of the script, original live music and sharper than sharp choreography.
Come From Away is based on the true events that happened after the 9/11 terror attacks on New York in 2001, when all air traffic had to be diverted away from US air space.
