Musician's fundraiser flies after diagnosis

A YOUNG musician from Plymouth who has been diagnosed with stage two breast cancer says she is "overwhelmed" by the level of support her charity fundraiser has received.

Hannah Leach, 30, says she plans to keep performing as long as she can through her treatment - to raise funds for The Pink Ribbon Foundation.

The singer/songwriter, also known as 'The Shady Lady, is a familiar face across the Plymouth music scene, being the vocalist and lyricist for Lady Noir, Blue Soule, and The Hottentot Figs. Hannah publicly announced her diagnosis on January 22, saying it had been "caught early" and she should be "well on the other side of it" by the end of 2023.
