THE family-friendly Lord Mayor's Festival returns to the city centre on Saturday, May 21, as Plymouth welcomes its new Lord Mayor.
This year's event celebrates Plymouth's blue and green spaces, including the new Plymouth Sound National Marine Park.
Organisers are promising there will be lots to learn and explore with free entertainment and activities for children of all ages, including immersive experiences, street performers, and face painting.
Families can get involved in a number of workshops on the day.
This includes making your mark on a huge shared artwork, creating a shipwreck chart of Plymouth Sound, or making music with interactive junk band Weapons of Sound.
