DEWSNIP IS BRACED FOR WHITTAKER OFFERS THIS SUMMER
CHRIS ERRINGTON
EXPECTING INTEREST

DIRECTOR of football Neil Dewsnip expects there to be more interest from other clubs in Plymouth Argyle’s talented 23-year-old attacker Morgan Whittaker this summer.

After scoring 20 goals this term and being named in the EFL Championship Team of the Season, Whittaker is now a very valuable asset for the Pilgrims, who rejected a bid of around £8.5 million from Italian side Lazio towards the end of the January transfer window.

Dewsnip said: “I think the first half of the season he was absolutely outstanding. He has contributed brilliantly in the second half but he probably hasn’t been quite as potent - not as many goals, not as many chances.
