Ofsted inspectors visited the day nursery, located in Pennycross, on July 28 and noted how impressed they were with the "amazing staff".
Inspectors rated the nursery as outstanding in all areas, including the effectiveness of the leadership and management, the quality of education, personal development, and the behavior and welfare of children. The improved rating means both the Mama Bear's settings in Plymouth now hold the highest possible rating from Ofsted.
The first Mama Bear's setting to receive an outstanding rating is located in Fortview, Crownhill. The Pennycross nursery also recently celebrated its 10th anniversary of being run as a Mama Bear's.
