A RABBIT has been saved by a Plymouth animal charity, after being found abandoned in a cramped cage filled with dirt and faeces.
The neglected rabbit is now under the care of staff at Woodside Animal Welfare Sanctuary, at Elfordleigh, after being found alone on a Plymouth street.
The rabbit, who has been named Baby, was found by a member of the public inside a cage secured with cable ties and chicken wire. Inside the cage, the Netherland Dwarf rabbit was trapped amongst mouldy faeces so deep her food bowl was buried beneath it.
