Tragedy as woman loses her life in vehicle collision

A WOMAN has died following a collision in Nunthorpe, police have confirmed.
Police officers, paramedics and firefighters were called to a crash on Cookgate, Nunthorpe, shortly after 12.35pm yesterday.
Support from the Great North Air Ambulance Service was requested with a doctor and two paramedics landing near the scene at 12.53pm - seven minutes after the critical care team was alerted.
A statement issued by Cleveland Police at 6pm said: "A woman has sadly died following a collision on Cookgate in Nunthorpe on Wednesday, May 7.
