First-time voters in Rajasthan have demonstrated a marked aversion to exercising their franchise despite the hype of participating in the democratic process.
Notwithstanding the all-out efforts by the Election Commission and political parties to woo first-time voters, aged between 18-19, it seems all efforts have fallen to naught in the desert state. In fact there has been a sharp 16.70 per cent decline from 2019 figures in terms of turnout of first-time voters.
