Every woman in India carries a private diary deep inside her heart. Some pages are bright, filled with laughter, festivals, selfies and family celebrations. Other pages are heavy, stained with tears no one saw. Maybe it was the time your hard work at office was brushed aside because “tum toh manage kar logi”. Maybe it was when your dreams for higher studies were quietly sacrificed for “ghar ki zimmedari”. Maybe it was a marriage proposal that collapsed or a relationship that ended without proper closure.

Emotional pain doesn’t always arrive with drama. Sometimes it comes in small, daily doses a taunt, a comparison, a rejection, a silence.

We are taught to adjust, to be “strong”, to take care of everyone, to “not make a scene”. So we fold our pain and tuck it neatly between cooking, office work, parenting, caring for elders and social expectations. We keep moving, but somewhere inside, a part of us feels unseen, unheard and unloved.
