EXISTENTIAL CRISIS
Will the Gandhi family reunite? Will the BJP MP Varun Gandhi join the Congress? The developments over the past few days gave an indication about this. A large section of the Congress is in favour of reunion of the Gandhi family also. This group wants Varun Gandhi to join hands with his cousins Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in their fight against the NDA government. This will strengthen the Congress party, believe many.
In fact, Varun has been targeting the Modi government over one issue or the other since the UP polls through social media posts like Twitter. He has launched verbal attacks against the NDA government like Rahul and Priyanka do. The only difference is that Rahul and Priyanka are in the Congress, and Varun is critical of the government despite being a member of the BJP.
"Varun will certainly sever ties with BJP sooner or later," observers believe that if Varun joins Congress, it will be beneficial for the both. The Congress is worried over ED targeting Sonia and Rahul. The party protested against its leader's questioning in a show of strength.
