Astronaut Shukla Back on Home Soil After ISS Mission

Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who became the first Indian in 41 years to travel to space, returned to New Delhi in the early hours of Sunday after completing NASA's Axiom-4 (AX-4) mission.
Shukla, who splashed down off the California coast on July 15 following an 18-day stay aboard the International Space Station (ISS), was received at the airport by Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, ISRO Chairman Dr V. Narayanan, and his wife, Kamna Shukla. A group of students also welcomed him.
