US political parties not good enough

I doubt that former US president Barack Obama, pictured, realises that Americans collectively deserve far better than either the usual establishment - corporate-friendly, callous conservative or faux liberals - in the White House, which I believe they very likely will never get.

It's no longer sufficient for the Democratic Party's presidential candidates to simply fully support party policy on core non-fiscal social issues: race, sexuality, gender, gender-bending and unrestricted abortion access.

A large enough proportion of Americans are financially struggling.
