RACING: DURBANVILLE MEETING TAKES CENTRE STAGE OVER THE WEEKEND
BANKER. Muzi Yeni has made Time For Love, who he rides in Race 2 at Hollywoodbets Durbanville tomorrow, as his best bet on the card. Picture: Wayne Marks.

here are standalone meetings over the weekend but none is on the Highveld. Racing tomorrow takes place at Hollywoodbets Durbanville while racing on Sunday is on the turf at Hollywoodbets Greyville racecourse.
As a result, for this column we will focus our attention on tomorrow's Durbanville card. The headliner is Race 7, an A Stakes over 1400m, where some quality individuals take their places.
I have six carded rides on the nine-race programme and I'll be hoping to get into the winners' enclosure and keep my momentum going.
Race 1 is a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1250m and it is essential to watch the betting market and the canter past for the best guide to the chances of the unraced runners.
Of the raced runners, I like the look of Beautiful One. Her form before her last start was really good and she had excuses in her below-par latest effort.
Off a good draw, she could get the run of the race and as a result she sets the standard.
Hazel Green has been very consistent and her winning turn can't be far away. Her biggest issue is the wide draw but if she is able to overcome it then she is the main danger.
Panjandrum is having her third run after a rest, and her form is really good, so she is on the shortlist and definitely looks to have the ability to win this race.
Race 2 is an A Stakes over 1800m and I ride Time For Love who I make my best ride on the day, and I make her the best bet on the card as well.
This mare has everything in her favour and it looks like the stable has found a perfect opportunity for her to gain another success.
We are the best weighted runner by 2.5kg and we get to jump from the plum No 1 gate - so I'll be very disappointed if we are not able to win.

Could Maharaj's Test spot be in danger?
It feels silly to even suggest this, but based on the performances of the country's strong spin bowling contingent, Keshav Maharaj's place in the national Test team might be in danger.
