India has embarked on the development of an indigenous bullet train project, poised to revolutionize the country's rail network with speeds surpassing 250 kilometers per hour (km/h).

According to a senior government official, this groundbreaking initiative aims to surpass the speed capabilities of any current trains within the Indian Railways network.

The innovative project is being undertaken on the Vande Bharat platform, renowned for its high-speed capabilities, with existing trains reaching a maximum speed of 220 km/h.

Spearheaded by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, under the supervision of Indian Railways, the design process for the indigenous bullet train is currently underway.
