In Division One of the Readers Durham & North East Cricket League, Dawdon Welfare made steady progress at home to Eppleton, with Pasindu Thirimadura scoring 90 and Bradley Robinson 31 not out in their total of 183-4.

De Silva leads Eppleton to a Welfare win

The visitors then had Praveen De Silva make a useful 53 not out and Callum Steel 33 won them the game.

Peterlee made a good start at home to Ryhope, with Gerard McKenna scoring 54 in a total of 168-5 and although visiting opener Paul Jenkin scored 32, they were all out for just 92 runs, with Ellis Dunn claiming 3-17.

The game between Hunwick against South Shields, was abandoned due to the weather.

In Division Two, Boldon CA had a comfortable win at home to bottom club Wearmouth.
