Strictly kept my dying dad going, says Kym as she's voted off show

KYM MARSH last night said that appearing on Strictly Come Dancing had kept her terminally ill father going.

The former Coronation Street star and her professional dancing partner Graziano Di Prima became the tenth couple to be voted off the show when they lost the dance-off to children’s presenter Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu.

And Kym said her fellow dancers had even sent her father videos wishing him well when he was in hospital and she missed last week’s show due to Covid.

The 46-year-old, whose father Dave was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer last year, told presenter Tess Daly last night: “My dad has been so proud and it has kind of kept him going.

“When he was in hospital last week, and obviously we weren’t here, all these guys sent him videos and it meant such a lot.”
