On a rainy Monday morning, the day before April Fools Day, outside of the Social Security Office in Chester, Congresswoman Scanlon, members of The League of Women Voters Delaware County Chapter, and constituents from her districts rallied against the Trump Administration and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) expected proposed cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
The Administration has already been setting the scenario to put such cuts in place by shuttering many Social Security offices around the country, which creates a hardship for many seniors who aren’t tech savvy, can’t get around due to physical challenges, or need assistance with applications.
