John Lowe, 58, was left with severe head injuries after being attacked in Salford’s Clarendon Park on Valentine’s Day with his heartbroken children saying he is no longer the same man they knew.
The father-of-three was assaulted around 10am when coming back from a community centre, family believe, and police are treating the incident as attempted murder.
His daughter, Lily Dee, and son Dave Lowe, were joined by dozens of shocked members of the local community yesterday as they put up posters and handed out leaflets pleading for anyone with information about their dad’s attacker to go to police. A sign on the cut-through from the park to West High Street where John was found severely injured reads #Justice4John and posters put up around the park and local area show him in the hospital bed with severe injuries.
Lily and Dave told the M.E.N. they will not rest until they have more information about what happened to their father who was a popular member of the local community and the shock and sadness they and the community have felt around this tragic incident.
