The Salford star is joined by Red Devils team-mates Andy Ackers and Kallum Watkins in the 24-man England squad for the tournament which starts later this month.
It is just reward for what has been a stunning season for the club as they reached the semifinals of the Betfred Super League.
"I've got a really strong group of men," said England head coach Wane. "The squad has a good blend with an average age of 28, which puts us in good stead.
"Andy Ackers is tough, he's a Wiganer. He's a form player and I've said all year I'd pick what's best at the end.
"Marc is a great kid and we had a fantastic conversation when I told him he was in. He was very emotional.
"He's got probably the best kicking game in the competition and we're playing in October and November when it's going to be wet.
