Plane cabin crew 'restrain' woman who tried to open door during flight

A WOMAN was 'restrained by cabin crew' after trying to open an emergency exit door sparking panic on board a flight from Manchester Airport.

The passenger, who was later arrested by police, caused the Ryanair flight from Manchester to Agadir in Morocco to be diverted back to the airport shortly after takeoff on Monday morning.

A video recorded by a passenger on the plane shows Greater Manchester Police officers removing belongings from the overhead bins above the seats as the woman is removed and arrested.

In an update, police have now confirmed that the woman was arrested on suspicion of endangering an aircraft after 'attempting to open the emergency exit door mid-flight' and that she had to be restrained by those working on board.
