No rest for the wicked... City's relentless schedule goes rumbling on

CITY'S place in the FA Cup final will make it a 10-month season, with the Blues having played 62 games over seven competitions.

They could still end the campaign with four trophies after last season's brilliant Treble.

So will they get some much-deserved time off to reflect on their potential successes after full time at Wembley? Not quite.

Within 10 days, City's international players competing at the European Championship or Copa America will be with their national teams preparing for pre-tournament friendlies.

The Euros get under way less than three weeks after the cup final. Julian Alvarez and Ederson get an extra week to prepare for their tournament, lucky them.

Should the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Rodri or Bernardo Silva reach the Euros final - or the two South American rivals in the Copa America - they will be playing until July 14.

Realistically they may only have a week between the end of the season at City and reporting for international duty. Surely they'll get a rest after that?

Well any player reaching the final of their summer tournament will have just a week before City are in action in North Carolina to take on Celtic in their first pre-season friendly.
