It's been a mixed first half of the season for City as they enjoyed a blistering start with emphatic victories over Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Southampton and, of course, Manchester United. However, as injuries began to strike and the World Cup loomed ever closer, the Blues' performance levels proceeded to dip.
It began with the first defeat of the season to Liverpool and though Pep Guardiola's side responded well with three victories, they struggled at times against Brighton and only scraped past Leicester and Fulham with late goals. In the final game before the break, another defeat was suffered at the hands of Brentford.
