Alleged killers 'took 170 mile taxi ride to lawyer'

TWO men accused of murder allegedly took a taxi from Manchester to Birmingham to visit a lawyer after the killing, a jury heard.

Raami Mohamed, 21, and Kevell Blake, 20, have pleaded not guilty to the murder of Badri Issa.

Mr Issa, 22, died after being stabbed in Moss Side. Prosecutors allege he was killed while he tried to act as a peacemaker when a fight broke out following a row over a car.

They allege Mr Mohamed stabbed Mr Issa, and that Mr Blake 'assisted and encouraged' him.

Jurors have been told Mr Issa was being driven to an exercise class by his friend Omar Jeylaani. Mr Mohamed allegedly gestured towards Mr Jeylaani to pull over when he spotted him in Princess Road on October 25 last year, Manchester Crown Court heard.
