Restaurant plans 'glass dome' bid

A popular Lancashire restaurant did not have the correct permission for a raft of new external eating and drinking areas, it has emerged.

Bosses at Retreat in Church Street, Adlington, have made a retropective planning application to Chorley Council for a series of changes it has already made, including the construction of a new paved seating area and the erection of two railway carriage pods and associated decking.

The restaurant owners have also applied for permission to make further changes.
