Expensive purchase Golden Horse is entitled to come on a bundle for his debut and should take plenty of beating in the David and William McHarg Memorial Maiden Stakes at Hamilton.

The William Haggas inmate cost an eyewatering 425,000 guineas at Tattersalls in October 2023 but did not make it to the track at two and was gelded before he even ran.
That means he is highly unlikely to recoup his purchase price but from Haggas’ point of view it also means he has been able to take his time with him.
The reason he cost so much is his pedigree, he is by Sea The Stars out of a Dawn Approach mare who is a half-sister to a Group One winner.
