Brian McDaid, from Derry, was working at an international school in Sudan capital Khartoum.
He and his family flew out in an emergency evacuation mission as one of the last 34 Irish people to flee Sudan.
The total number evacuated rose yesterday to 122, up from Wednesday’s tally of 88.
