Cong holds meet to review Raj poll loss

Senior Congress leader and outgoing Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the state elections by playing a "foul game" as the top Congress leadership got into a huddle in the Capital to brainstorm over the party's dismal performance in the recently concluded polls.

The Congress, which faced a drubbing by the BJP in three Hindi heartland states in the just-concluded assembly polls had already held review of its electoral defeats in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on Friday.
"They (the BJP) won the elections by playing a foul game. We brought a slew of remarkable welfare schemes, laws, and guarantees in the state... They fought the elections only on the line of polarisation," Gehlot alleged, while speaking to reporters at the Delhi airport before heading for the review meeting held at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters in Delhi. The party "They are destroying the democracy and our constitution.
