BJP looks to jhuggis for support in '25 polls

The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday interacted and took note of problems from dwellers in 1,194 slum clusters in east Delhi, as part of their slum outreach programme in the run-up to the Delhi Assembly elections.
However, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) called it an eyewash, alleging the BJP was engaging in "election-time jhuggi tourism", "feasting with residents one day and demolishing their homes the next".
