'We're on same page': Tharoor after meet with Rahul, Kharge

Former Union minister and Congress lawmaker Shashi Tharoor, who was at odds with the party's official line on a number of issues in the recent past, met party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, in an attempt to bury differences ahead of the Kerala assembly elections.

Tharoor said the meeting was constructive and positive.

“We had a discussion with my two party leaders, the LoP and the Congress president. We had a very good, constructive, positive discussion. All is good, and we are moving together on the same page. What more can I say? I have always campaigned for the party, where have I not campaigned?” the Thiruvananthapuram MP said.

The Congress released a photo of the meeting that showed all three leaders relaxed and smiling.
