A small act of kindness brings relief to UAE's delivery heroes during the hottest hours
The UAE summer is relentless — scorching temperatures and stifling humidity drive most residents indoors, seeking refuge in the comfort of air conditioning. But thousands of captains work tirelessly during this season to deliver food and groceries to customers.
In temperatures above 40°C, they ride 250-300km on average daily, making at least 30-35 trips. Last year, from May to October, these heroes delivered five million orders made on UAE apps — all with minimal to no access to hydration.

US Dollar – The view after the fall
We started 2025 as US Dollar bears and, thus far, the year has borne out as we expected. At its trough, the US Dollar Index (the 'DXY') fell by over 10 per cent since the start of the year before staging a modest rebound in recent months.
