CASH-STRAPPED Glasgow Council shelled out for a portrait of a former Lord Provost who quit after claiming for 23 pairs of shoes.

The framed print, however, does not even include Eva Bolander's footwear as it does not show her feet.

Bolander, an SNP councillor, quit as Lord Provost in 2019 after the Record exposed how she had claimed about £8000 on clothes of which £1150 was on shoes and beauty products.

Now, Glasgow council taxpayers have been hit with another bill of £950 spent on a canvas print of a portrait of Bolander.
